The Director of the International Relations Affairs at the University of Zakho, Dr. Nizar I. Ali, participated in an international online course organized by the European Union.

The European Agency EACEA combined more than 500 academic personalities and global organizations in the activity. Noteworthy, the University of Zakho, along with four universities of the Kurdistan Region including the University of Duhok. Salahaddin, Halabja, and Raparin, and European universities including the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro in Portugal, the University of Granada in Spain, and the University of Pavia in Italy, participated in the course.

The project continues until 2027 and it is funded by the European Union. The University of Zakho will greatly benefit from the project to develop the education level, the Basic Education Fields specifically.
